June 2011 Open House

We hosted another extremely successful 2nd annual Open House in June  this year, featuring a “back office” tour, live surgery, pet health information stations, teddy bear clinic, fabulous pet basket draws and a free BBQ.  If you didn’t make in for a visit this year- watch for our dates to be announced for 2012!

 September 2011 Wiggle Waggle Walk-a-thon  for the Ottawa Humane Society

The Queensway West Animal Hospital participated for the second time in the OHS annual fundraiser, the Wiggle Waggle Walk-a-Thon.  The entire staff came out to set up and operate a “nail trim” booth.  We offered $5 nail trims, with all proceeds going to the OHS.  This year we made over $500, that means over 100 nail trims in about 3 hours!  

 We bribed our way through the nail trims with the favored “Benny Bullies” liver treats and walked away a little stiff and sore and slobbered-on, but we are proud to support our local Humane Society.
